Leave a review on your phone
This is the most common way, and it takes under a minute. You can use the Google Maps app or just Google Search — either works. The steps are below.
Leave a review on a computer
On a desktop, search the business name on Google or find it on Google Maps, click into the business, then click the "Write a review" button in the reviews area. Choose your star rating, type your review, and submit. You'll need to be signed in to a Google account.
Do you need a Google account? Can you be anonymous?
Yes, you need a free Google account to post a review, and no, reviews are not anonymous — your Google profile name and photo appear publicly on the review. Google removed anonymous reviews years ago to cut down on fakes. If you'd rather show less, you can adjust the name and photo on your Google account, but some identity will always be attached.
Edit or delete a review you left
Changed your mind? In Google Maps, open your profile, go to "Your contributions" → Reviews, find the review, and use the menu to edit or delete it. Edits publish immediately.
Run a business? Make this one tap for your customers
If you're reading this to help your own customers leave reviews, don't send them through all these steps — hand them a direct review link (or a QR code) that opens the review box instantly. It dramatically increases how many people finish. Here's how to get your Google review link.
