A WiFi QR code encodes your network name (SSID), password, and security type in a standard format. When a customer scans it, their phone prompts them to join the network automatically — no typing required.
Works on iOS 11+ and Android 10+ natively, no app needed.

WiFi QR code FAQ
How do I make a WiFi QR code for guests?
Enter your network name (SSID), pick your security type, and type your WiFi password into the generator above. It instantly creates a QR code that encodes those credentials. Print it and place it where guests can see it — they scan with their phone camera and join automatically, no password typing. There's no account or app required, and nothing is saved to a server.
Does a WiFi QR code work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. WiFi QR codes use a standard format that's supported natively by iOS 11+ and Android 10+ — guests just point their built-in camera at the code and tap the join prompt. No special scanning app is needed. On a handful of older devices a free QR scanner app may be required, but the vast majority of phones in use today handle it out of the box.
Is sharing my WiFi via a QR code safe?
It's as safe as your network already is. The QR code simply encodes the same SSID and password you'd otherwise read aloud or write on a chalkboard — anyone who can see the code can join, exactly like anyone who can see a posted password. It's actually safer than a written password in some ways, since guests never see or keep the characters. For sensitive networks, share the code only on your guest WiFi, not your main private network.
How do I print a WiFi QR sign for my business?
Add your Google review link in the generator to produce a printable tent card with the WiFi QR on top and a review QR below, then click "Download Tent Card" for a high-resolution PNG. Print it on cardstock, fold it, and set one on each table or at the counter. You can also download just the WiFi QR on its own to drop into your own sign or menu design.
What WiFi security types are supported (WPA, WPA2, open)?
The generator supports WPA/WPA2 (the most common option for home and business routers), WEP (older networks), and None for open networks with no password. Pick the one your router uses — if you're unsure, it's almost always WPA/WPA2. For an open network, choose None and leave the password field blank, and guests will still join with a single scan.
